CÁMO’s NJ STATE HOUSE SPEECH

At the age of 23, CÁMO Cemi’no spoke at the New Jersey State House standing in solidarity with the Queer Youth Assemble. On Friday, March 31st, CÁMO gave a speech for Transgender Day of Visibility in support of Queer and Trans youth across the United States of America.

Organized Passaic’s First & Second Pride Festivals!

CÁMO Cemi’no organized and managed Passaic City’s first and second Pride Festivals, celebrating her hometown’s intersection between BIPOC and LGBTQ+ identities. CÁMO raised over $10,000 across the two years she was CEO, CFO, and Co-founder of now dissolved nonprofit, LOGRO. In the summer of 2023, CÁMO received state recognition from New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy for organizing Passaic’s first and second Pride Festivals. Additionally, CÁMO and her nonprofit was award the “People’s Power Award” by nonprofit Make the Road New Jersey in 2022.
